Our Story

For light colored stocks we reccomend:
Dark inks which can be either flat or raised, foil stamping with either non-metallic or metallic foils.
Why we reccomend it:
Lighter inks on Lighter stocks are hard to read and will not get the effect you are hoping.

For dark colored stocks we reccomend:
Light colored foils, either metallic or non-metallic.
Why we reccomend it:
Foils will not soak into the stock causing a faded effect. Metallic foils will reflect the light and allow for easy visibility on dark stocks. Non-metallic foils will have the same look as a solid ink when imprinted but don't soak in.

4 Color Process vs Spot Color:
Spot colors are PMS colors and are 1 color and solid. 4 color process, CMYK or full color are a mixture of 4 colors, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. These four colors are mixed together to create the desired color or image. This is how pictures are printed.

Flat vs Raised:
Flat ink is when the item is silk screened and if you were to run your finger over the imprinted area you would feel no difference between the non imprinted area.
Raised ink or thermography is a powder that is applied then heated which binds the ink to the surface and when it does this it swells. When you run your finger over the imprinted area you will notice the ink is higher than the non printed areas.

Heavy Ink Coverage vs Light Ink Coverage:
Heavy ink coverage is when the amount of ink being applied covers more than 40% of the total imprintable area. Light coverage is anything below 40% of the total imprintable area.
